A gentle first introduction to Remembrance Day for low-level classes. A short video about a girl discovering the poppy opens the lesson, then students learn 5 key words (poppy, soldier, war, remember, peace) through matching, gap-fills and unscrambling. A short text explains the date, the two minutes of silence at 11:00 and why people wear a poppy, followed by comprehension questions and true/false. A class mingle and a closing discussion get students talking. Answer key included.
